Hi folks! Welcome to my first blog. I'll be headed to Morocco in March 2010 to serve as a rural health worker for a couple of years. Blogging seems to be a trend these days and I love technology so figured what the heck, why not start a blog? Theoretically, it'll give me something to do when I'm bored and help keep my friends and family updated on my wanderings and musings as I embark on "the toughest job I'll ever love." More later, but right now I'm tryna' figure this blogthing out.

(Oh, and you're probably curious about my title picture. I took that picture last fall at a friend's farm in Los Altos. It's a baby chicken that wandered away from its clutch. It wasn't really sure where it was going but utlimately found the light in its new journey. I'd like to think of myself in Peace Corps as a wandering baby chicken... sort of lost in the world, curious to learn, taking one step at a time, but happy there's always light.)
