Still on my to-do list:
- Theorize an awfully darn good explanation for why I have yet to teach myself how to play banjo like these folks.
- Decide whether I'm taking my banjo to Morocco.
- Pick a design and layout for this blog that satisfies me. Or just come to terms with the one I've already chosen. Aesthetics are important.
- Finish reading The Drifters by James Michener.
I think you should take your banjo. You will have internet, right? I really learned how to play guitar during my 1st year of college because I put all of the negative energy I had (from stress, sometimes being home sick, etc.) into playing guitar. If you can really devote a few hours a day, several times a week, into learning the banjo, then you'll get some basics down, like I have. But you could also be crazy busy doing your health stuff and exploring Morocco and (finally!) learning some Arabic. So tough choice. But you will have room, right? I hope the Arabic book I left you will help you out a bit.
